The Volcano
Team Formation Strat
This strategy is for 3v3 and 4v4 team games against quality opponents. Its
called the Volcano because while the edges stay where they are, the centre explodes
outwards with great power. It is really only any use on certain maps, like Continental,
Yucatan, Mongolia, Scandanavia etc

This demonstrates 3v3, where the outside two teammates provide the cornerstones.
It is imperative that they stand their ground. They should wall off with Stone
wall in the feudal age and get to castle age early. It is likely that the enemy
center player will help attack one of the cornerstones instead of going for
the middle player.
The middle player performs the "eruption", by booming big at castle
age, getting at least 5 town centres and about 100 villagers and thereby getting
fast Imperial age. He should then be ready to attack hard in imperial age with
many strong units (Paladins / Champions / Elite Units etc) plus of course Trebuchets.
If the Enemy have been wasting their units trying to fight off a strong defence
from the cornerstones then they will have no answer to the strong imperial eruption.
This will criple the centre of their base, before additional units can come
forward from the two cornerstone players to finish them off.
If you plan to use this eruption strategy, make sure your teammates know at
the start, so they can plan accordingly.
