Greetings everyone, it is great to see the site still around with names I know, and new names as well. Starcraft 2 is finally here, hard to believe. I have to admit that it would be great to join you all in the new game but it just does not fit into life at the moment. Not enough time to dedicate to an RTS such as starcraft to be able to compete at a level I would enjoy. For now I have been playing xbox360 live, FPS and tower defense style games. Might pick up RUSE when it comes out if the reviews are good.
But on to the point of the message. The wife and I were planning a trip to Europe in 2011. This would be the wifes first trip to Europe and she is a little concerned about not knowing the local language, so we are probably going to visit England or Ireland. Summer is a terrible time for me to take a vacation with my work schedule. The easiest time for me to vacations for travel is January - March. April is ok, but March is better. My company does a lot of work in road construction, business is slow in the winter.
So that said, how is the weather in those months. I am sure it is cold, I live in New England (Rhode island) in the states so snow is not a big deal, but is everything open in the winter. There are things in the states that close for the winter so I was wondering if we were going to miss out on to much if we come during this season.
And of course, if there is anything I should not miss during a visit please let me know. I am more of a "play it by ear" traveler, I do not stick to plans. I keep of list of things that might be fun and then pick and choose from that list each day. I plan to much at work, I do not need it in my personal life... at least that is my opinion. Historic and local cultural experience are what we enjoy. You will probably even see us wandering through a local food store just to see the differences.
Thanks everyone. And can you believe it, I remembered my password, although it took a dozen attempts.
