Mighty Mystics

Team Duties

Whether you are a member of the Mighty Mystics, or thinking about becoming one, listed here are the roles of duty expected from each hierarchical position.

RULING BODY

The Mystics Ruling Body are a group of distinguished members including the Leaders, Deputy Leaders and Trustees.

Ruling Body members are essentially the governing body of the team and make all the important decisions which effect the community. They monitor the web site, forums, online game chat and also other wbe sites to ensure the members needs are being served. They try to preserve the longevity and success of the community by ensuring changes are made when they need to be.

The Ruling Body has a voting system on their private forum which allows new rules to be passed, new appointments to be made and bootings or warnings to be made when necessary. The Ruling Body is also known as the RB on this web site, they are democratic in the way they vote for their proposals on their board, however, their appointment is determined by the leaders.

Members of the ruling body should be actively reading and posting on all the site forums and / or well-known and seen by most of the rank and file members. Should a ruling body member become too busy to fulfill these obligations over a long period of time, then they should consider standing down and letting in a more active member.

A Ruling Body member is not allowed to discuss Ruling body matters with the other members of the community, or indeed anyone outside of the Rb itself. Announcements are given by Rb members on the team forum after the Ruling Body has come to a decision.

TRUSTEE

Position of Trustee is a highly respected one, its only attained by the most dedicated of the Mystic Community. A Trustee is someone who typifies the community and someone who represents everything that all of the community members aspire to become. They are a role-model. Only those who possess the right character will achieve this position

The duties of a Trustee are to play an extremely active role in the Community and to be there representing us online and at the web site.. Trustees are the heart of the team, online often, frequently playing games and work hard for the expansion of the team.

They should be online quite often and host games and invite other Mystics to join. They should actively support the other team members and advise them on how to behave, also ensuring they adhere to the Mystic Law, especially the ones who are not trustees and encourage them to take part in games.

Trustees play an active role in the running of the team, including donating many opinions to the team forum and other forums. They normally have other duties, not just playing, often involved in the administration of the team, their role is one of responsibility rather than playing skill, although they may also possess highly skilled abilities.

Duty includes upholding the mystic law, and reporting any breaches to the ruling body. Position of Trustee is only given to those who have already served as Controller for a long time and proved themselves worthy of the role beyond any doubt.

Trustees must promote the team in a positive way and put it before any personal gains they may have. They should ensure that all other Mystics are happy and content and ensure that others in the team are performing their roles properly.

ROYAL

A Royal is an extremely high position, and not given lightly. A position of Royal cannot be attained unless you have already been a Ruling Body member in the Mighty Mystics.

Royals are not expected to be on so much, their main duty is to make appearances whenever they can and their level will reflect their position within the team.

Royal Mystics are expected to be loyal to the Mystic Team. They have access to the team members area, so they are not allowed to join any other teams, nor show any disloyalty to the Mighty Mystics. When they become active again, they can have their Trustee status re-instated if they so desire.

CONTROLLER

Controller is the position obtained after a successful candidate has finished their recruiting period. As a controller you hold a cherished place in the Mystic community and your name will appear on the team list.

A Controller has an enviable position within a great team. They should be available to play matches often and be online a lot. They have a duty to uphold the Mystic Law and should follow the examples set by trustees if they wish to follow a successful promotion path.

Being a full member they can recruit members to our online guild and demote. They usually become "officers". They also have the ability to recruit new members to the Mighty Mystics Online Community at our web site by giving an applicant recruit status.

A Controller will be booted if they disappear from the community for several months without reason.

RECRUITS

A recruit is the first stage of membership and can only be given to a non member by an existing full member. The full member will be known as their recruiter for the entire time of their stay with us. Therefore the quality of the recruit is often refelcted on the recruiter! They decide their name (for example Killer), and reserve the online names: Mystic_Killer and MysticR_Killer, they use the MysticR_Killer name until they are promoted to full team membership. The R part of their name denotes recruit.

While they have this recruit name they can play games for the Mystics and in friendlies with them, they are official Mystic members (but not full members yet) and have proved that they are worthy of a rank within the team. After the trial period of around 2 weeks the recruit will apply for promotion and submit a test. The test will ensure that the recruit is familiar with all aspects of our community. The rank and file members will then get to vote on whether the recruit should be awarded a Controller position.

Mystic Recruits have to abide by the Mystic Law and be on as often as possible showing great enthusiasm.

GAMING RECRUITS

Gaming recruits are temporary members of our community who join our guild online. Sometimes they may visit the site, although their name will not appear on the team roster.

Gaming recruits will be invited to become members of our online guild in a game we play, however, they will not have the power to recruit nor add or remove members from our guild. They join just to play alongside us and can appliy for full membership at any time.
