When he joined in June
2000, he partnered Mystic Briton against two others in his tryout.
Mystic Briton knew he was something special then, then he saw
his score was equalled by this new soldier called InsideJC. He
was recruited immediately and represented the team admirably in
many hard fought battles through the summer. He even won the Summer
Tournament, beating every teammate who matched up against him
in this 1v1 contest. For this he received the Medal of Victory.
In August he was promoted
to Knight and received the British Cross Medal, a medal which,
at the time of his departure had only been awarded to our two
leaders. This prestigeous award is only given to those who are
knighted, and after this he was known as Sir Mystic Japanese.
When the Conquerors expansion
came out Mystic Japanese stopped playing for about 6 weeks, but
he soon returned and came back playing even better than before
and received the Medal of Distinction, which is only given to
those who have perfected their gameplay to an incredibly high
level. He went on to win the Autumn Tournament beating Mystics
Byz in the final.
This great warrior resign
from the team at the end of December with his head held high and
receiving great respect from his peers. It was a sad loss, and
he will always be remembered.

Controller / Trustee /Royal

Long Swordsman |
June 2000 - January 2001 |
  |
| He started as MBKing182
in June 2000, admiring the clan so much that he wanted to be a member.
He became a follower and longed for the day he would be good enough
to carry a Mystic name. In July he had reached the standard to become
Mystics Turk, with a rank of Militia. He was online nearly 24 hours
a day playing almost all the time. Everyone in the Mystics admired
him for his enthusiasm and dedication. So much so, that he was awarded
the Master of the Roles medal. An award not given to many, as its
description dictates: "Only a person who does possess extreme tact,
cunning and diplomacy towards the running of the team, organisation
of matches and the impression of himself within the team held by
outsiders could hold this extra special medal." He was promoted
to Mystic Turk in September and he held the job of trustee with
pride and honour, even winning the Harvest Moon Tournament! In November
we were all disappointed when he left his trustee position to becomes
a royal, and this was when we saw less of him. Maybe he needed to
break free from the clutches of the mystics, the tight rules, and
the pressure of being team coach was too much for him. When he left
Mystic Devil showed that even in the face of adversity, he still
has the honour and courage to know when its time for a change. We
will always remember this great soldier who has given so much to
make the team what it is today. |

Mystic Hegron
Mystic Mole

Royal / Honourary member

Villager |
April 2000 - January 2001 |

One of the original members,
indeed after Mystic Briton and Mystic Hun, we think that Hegron
has the forth of fifth member of the Mighty Mystics. He was called
Mystic Mole and didnt play so much, but he had a great interest
in the background behind the game, and knew the most secret details
about the conquerors edition, months before it was released. He
furnished us all with his great knowledge on his own page at this
site.
After the conquerors edition
came out, little was seen or heard of Hegron, although he did
contribute the "Unit Analysys" page for the conquerors
edition units. After a long period of inactivity, Hegron resigned
with regret from the team which had changed so much during his
membership.
He will be sorely missed
as a great and honourable member who contributed so much.

This guy was our first
Korean member, a 29 year old American living in Seoul, South Korea.
He executed the best flush ever seen at that time in the Mighty
Mystics. He wrote the flush strategy in the team secret area and
a whole wealth of good Mystic flushers were born!
Originally Mystics_Mayan,
he was promoted to trustee in October for his outstanding contributions
to team organisation. He was then called Mystic Mayan_. With this
name he represented the team in many difficult encounters and
made some good friends among the team.
In December he resigned
as a trustee and became a royal as his personal life was in a
period of change. From then on he was known as Mystic Yin. He
was never seen much by the Europeans, as he was online at strage
times, but he played many games with the west coast living American
members. He will be truely missed.

This was our first chinese
member, although he was living in alabama USA. He was 30 years
old when he joined us in June 2000, and he stayed for over 6 months.
During that time he fought many, any battles alongside his teammates,
and usually preferred to play Persians.
WarEagle was a great player,
he started as Controller, was promoted to Trustee and then became
Royal. He left in the end, due to his interest in Age of Kings
waning, you never know, he may come back one day!

| Name | Country | photo | Game Played | Period of Service | Medals | wimpyviking | Icelandic | | AOK | 12 June 2000 to 15 February 2002 | | Mystic Viking held his name for an incredible 18 months without change!
He joined the team when the recruiting standard was low, and when we increased the entrance standard he remained because of his great dedication to the team.
Mystic Viking went through a divorce and child paternity problems during his time with us, and disappeared from playing for several months, but his position was held for him as his strong character was noticed by the leadership.
When he returned to playing again he was promoted to Deputy Leader, a position he held for over a year. He was the first ever deputy leader and begun by being online nearly all day and all night, doing great jobs with recruiting and generally becoming very well known and liked in the team.
Some of his friends left the clan at the end of 2001 and he decided to resign his deputy leadership. He found himself more and more isolated as he found it difficult to adjust to the new players being recruited and new games being played.
He resigned in an honourable way in February 2002.
Here is his reason for leaving, posted on our team forum 26 Feb 2002: There is no simple reason for that desicion. I have been here for so long time that i was getting to comfortable in my seat.
One reason is EE, i simply hate that game and I think it isnt worthy game after the AoC series. Thats my opinion and I know not all share that opinion.
Another and more important reason is, to many of my friends left the clan and to many new faces came in at same time for me to cope it. Now I know only handfull of the mystics but a year ago I knew all mystics, even by real names. i knew where they lived how they lived, what was their profession, if they where single, married ,youngster u name it i knew it. I lost contact with the members last autumn and i have been a bit lonely since then. Acer, Jap and Chaos kept me in.
After the greeks left the clan, I felt a bit isolated and i resigned my post as Deputy Leader of Europe. I had lost contact fully with most members. The Greeks have had good contact with me since they left the clan and we are very good friends, so good that i will visit them in the easters if all good things go through. I will join their greek clan as friend... as it is suppose to be 1800+ rating clan im a rook and i will always be rook but they wanted me anyway. That clan is going for AoM and all preperations are in that way, play AoC and learn all u can about AoM until it comes out.
No argument is behind my desicion and I leave the clan as friend and I will always be friend to those who will hold the contact.
To the leaders. I will thank you guys for those years, you made great clan and it is prospering beyond my imagination. to big actually for my taste as i want to know all who are in it. The site is the best I have seen in the gaming community. Some have more flashy things but none is better organised and easily watched as this one. Thanks for that Briton, great job you have done with it.
Good bye to you all and may the Mighty Mystics prospere for long time to come !

| Name | Country | photo | Game Played | Period of Service | Medals | King_James__I | American | | war3 AOM | 21 May 2000 to 23 December 2004 | | | Mystic Saracen was a member of this community since the very start. Mystic Briton recruited him back in Summer 2000 when we played Age of Kings on the Microsoft Gaming Zone. His name was King James and we played several games together and he eventually joined us as Mystic Saracen. It was a time when we only have about 10 member and most of them were just temporary guys, around for a few weeks, then gone.
A few months later Hun and Briton awarded two deputy leader positions. Mystic Viking was given leadership of Europe and Mystic Saracen Leadership of the Americas. The plan at the time was to cover the two time zones by people who could handle things while the leaders were not around. Mystic Viking left us in 2002 to join the Argonauts and Mystic Saracen stayed on until December 2004.
Saracen had several children who also played computer games, and it wasnt long, as the years passed, that they too played along with us online. One of them was Mystic Sky, who has also left with his Dad. MysticR Spider was also his son as a recruit, but never actually made it to full member.
Mystic Saracen was extremely patriotic and a proud American, his beliefs were continually questioned on our political board and often the topics would become heated and insulting and had to be closed. Being deputy leader it was particularly uncomfortable to see him being challenged so much and we had to ban anti-american posts. Alas, there were a few hardened visitors of the board who couldnt see Saracen was getting upset and continued to push and bully him until the final straw which broke the camels back.
I enjoyed many, many games with Mystic Saracen, on Age of Kings, Age of Conquerors, Empire Earth, Warcraft ROC, TFT, AOM, the list goes on. I (Mystic Briton) would often make sure I was online on Saturday afternoons in the hope that he would grace us with his prescence, however, he often had other comittments such as Basketball, Baseball and Soccer. He liked his sports and did some coaching with his boys.
Personally, the loss of this great member is probably the hardest one I have had to suffer so far as leader of this community and I shall never forget the many months and years contribution he has made building up the Mighty Mystics into what they are today.. The loss of Saracen was huge and we were badly wounded by his departure.
Mystic Saracen wore his Mystic tag with pride in every game he has played over the many years he was a member, he is directly responsible for what we have here today. When Hun and I lost internet contact for 2 months during a bad storm in 2002, it was he who rallied everyone together, even though we had no web site and kept the mighty mystic flag flying high. I would like to thank Mystic Saracen for everything he has given to our community and let him know, if he ever reads this, that his prescence here will never be forgotton. |
